Here are the pictures of the plants that grow in my backyard. Just like me they can not afford to move to a better place so we just hang out together, getting high by sniffing the passing cars exhaust and talking about good old times when no one was spraying you with nasty stuff because you happen to be a little bit hallucinogenic, when horses watched where they step (unlike those metallic monsters with all-terrain tires) and the air smelled with fresh manure... Anyway, if anyone can ID these plants or have any secret information about their use please email me at val@ghost-cat.com.

Oxeye Daisy: Chrysanthemum leucanthemum Some states consider it a noxious weed and some don't. It is a medicinal plant and it is also edible.

Red mushroom, intense bluing when bruised. Identifying shrooms is a tough thing, everyone is afraid to take a responsibility, so I just ate it. So far so goo

Jewel weed aka Touch-me-not: Impatiens pallida Well, I touched and nothing happened. It's the same like with "Forget-me-not" plant, I keep forgetting how it looks anyway. A very useful medicinal plant though. Also edible.

Milkweed: Asclepias syriaca This is a very useful plant so I gonna give it a little help this fall. It is a valuable medicinal plant and it is the only source of food for Monarch butterfly.

Sericea Lespedeza: Lespedeza cuneata What an ugly name. This seems to be an invasive alien plant (and not edible at that) so it has to go. The funerals will be held at compost heap #1 on a rainy Sunday.

Yellow woodsorrel: Oxalis stricta This plant is famous for its three heart shaped leaves (it stands for "God loves trinity" and not "Menaix a trua ". It is everywhere and it is edible in moderation. You can chew it on a hot day and it can also add a nice sour taste to your salad or an egg soup however it contains an oxalic acid which is great to remove rust from you enamel sink but not so good for your stomach in a long run. Some people would even call it poisonous but I guess those are the people who never ate a spoon full of non-poisonous black pepper every day. It has been also used for medicinal purposes.

Lamb's ears: Stachys byzantina Kid's favorite. Used as wound bandages since times immemorable.

Sunflower: Helianthus annuus The name says it all. Seeds are very edible and whoever is not familiar with the sunflower oil is most likely an alien masquerading as human. Hovewer most true humans may not know about its use as a medicinal plant.
